How do I enter a prize competition?
1. The Terms and Conditions below must be read carefully. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions upon entering the competition.
2. The competition is open to all UK residents between the age of 5 and 12 except staff members of Comic Relief or LEGO Group, their close relatives, or anyone connected with the competition (Creators). All entries must be submitted by the entrant’s parent, teacher or guardian over the age of 18.n.
3. The competition is to create a design for the School of the Future (Creation). To enter this competition, the Creator’s parent, teacher or guardian (You) must photograph the entry, saving the image in the format ‘First name, Surname initial, age’ (i.e. Lenny H 9) and emailingLEGO@comicrelief.comwith a short description of the Creation. You must also acknowledge that such entry is subject to the terms of our privacy policy and terms of use, and upload a photo of the Creation at comicrelief.com/LEGO. Written confirmation of permission and proof of parental/guardianship responsibility may be required from a parent/guardian/teacher before a winner can be declared.
4. You and the Creator may only enter the competition once during the Entry Period. If more than one entry per person is received during the Entry Period, only the first entry will be valid, and later entries will be disqualified. The competition will open at 9:00am on 6th February 2025 (GMT) and close at 11:59pm on 6th May 2025 (GMT) (Entry Period). Entries received after the Entry Period will not be entered into the competition.
5. There will only be ONE overall winner. The winner will receive:
a. £2,000 (two thousand pounds) from the LEGO group to spend innovative learning materials and resources for their school ; and
b. a Build the Change LEGO® kit for their school.
Every entry will also be automatically entered into a draw for the chance to win one of 40 LEGO kits for their school. The specific LEGO products forming the prize shall be selected by the LEGO Group. 6. Content Restrictions:
- Entries must not contain material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including without limitation, privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights infringement;
- Entries must not disparage Comic Relief, the LEGO Group or any other person or party affiliated with the competition;
- Entries must show only the entrant’s creation, which must represent their idea which is or could be built from LEGO bricks and/or other materials/elements. Entries must not show any identifiable feature of any person, or any product, trademark, or copyrighted property of any other person or business entity.
- Entries must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libelous;
- Entries must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; and
- Entries must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any country, state or province where the Submission is created.
7. In the event that an entry violates any of the above Content Restrictions, Comic Relief and/ or the LEGO Group may (at their sole discretion) crop or edit such entry to render it compliant and/ or exclude such entry from the competition.
8. The winner will be selected by a panel of representatives from Comic Relief and also an independent judge (the Judging Panel). The Judging Panel is looking for the most creative entry as assessed based on “how meaningful, unique and effective the idea is, what positive impact is created and how aligned it is to the challenge brief" . The Judging Panel will select a shortlist of entries. If your entry is selected in the shortlist, we may contact you to ask you for more information about your Creation. You will be contacted by email to the email address provided at the point of submission of that entry. If you do not response within ten (10) working days your entry may not be considered by the Judging Panel as part of the final selection. Following the selection of the shortlist, the Judging Panel will then select a winner from the shortlisted entries at their sole discretion and no correspondence will be entered into with entrants regarding this decision.
9. The winner will be notified on 30th May 2025 by email to the email address provided at the point of submission of that entry. If a winner does not respond within ten (10) working days of being notified, then the winner's prize will be forfeited, and Comic Relief may award the prize to the best runner up as agreed by the Judging Panel at their sole discretion. Comic Relief is not responsible for any email not being received or being delivered into a spam folder.
10. The winner is required in their response to confirm that they accept the prize and confirm details for delivery to the school stated on the relevant competition submission form. Once Comic Relief receive this response, the prize will be sent to that address within 30 days. The winner’s parent/guardian(s) or the winning child will not be entitled to any compensation and will have no claim against the organisers if the Prize is delayed.
11. Comic Relief reserves the right to use the name of the winner’s school and any and all submission content (including answers provided in the competition submission form) for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes. You hereby agree that all intellectual property and moral rights of the child on whose behalf you are entering have been assigned or licensed to you and/or waived and grant Comic Relief and the LEGO Group a non-revocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, modify and reproduce all such intellectual property rights vesting in the Creation and your entry for the aforementioned purposes.
12. If a winner wishes that the prize be provided to another person or organisation (instead of their nominated school) as a gift, express prior consent must be obtained from Comic Relief and the LEGO Group. A winner is prohibited from offering the prize for onward sale or exchange and from making any income or profit from the prize.
13. Comic Relief reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so, including for any reasons outside of its control. Comic Relief reserves the right to disqualify an entry or entrant, or cancel the provision of the prize should a participant breach these Terms and Conditions or behave in an unlawful, fraudulent, inappropriate or offensive manner.
14. The prizes are as stated. Comic Relief or the LEGO Group may substitute an alternative prize of similar value. No cash alternative will be offered.
15. The prize is subject to change. Descriptions and depictions of the prize are provided without a warranty of any kind. In no event shall Comic Relief, the LEGO Group or any prize provider be liable for any claim demand or damages caused to an entrant (or any recipient or user of the prize) by reason of a description of the prize being inaccurate, incomplete, or for the prize being otherwise in any way different to the entrant’s expectations. To the extent permitted by law, Comic Relief excludes all warranties and representations (whether express or implied) and will not under any circumstances be liable to compensate a participant or the winner (or any recipient or user of the prize) or accept any liability for any loss or damage occurring as a result of entering the competition or taking up a prize (other than for death or personal injury caused by Comic Relief’s negligence), including all indirect or consequential losses.
16. Comic Relief, the LEGO Group and their sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any website, delivery service, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any entry not being properly received.
17. This competition is operated by Comic Relief and the LEGO Group. The prize is provided by LEGO Company Ltd.
18. Your information (email address, your name and surname and the name of the Creator’s school) will be collected by Comic Relief and will only be used to communicate with you regarding the competition. If you are selected as the winner, Comic Relief will (1) contact you to let you know you have won and to administer the prize, and (2) use your surname and town or county of residence to announce the winner of the competition and/ or to respond to requests for details of who won the competition.
If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Comic Relief by emailing info@comicrelief.com. For the avoidance of doubt, Comic Relief must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on their request.

20. These Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and entrants to the competition submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
